2015 Youtube music awards

The YouTube Music Awards is an all-digital show, but we wanted to anchor it in a physical space that represented the theme of fans discovering music. We developed a toolbox of controls for laser projectors, fog, and cameras that let us build an interactive, 3-dimensional environment made of floating light. The launch Video opens with Fans exploring the space, And Concludes with A practically shot Title sEqUENCE created by maneuvering a camera through tunnels of light. 

The STAGE 

We were able to create a lot using very little. We mounted multiple laser projectors overhead in AN empty studio room and filled the space with haze. These two components, light and fog, let us create an infinitely reconfigurable environment.

INFINITE TuNNELS

A PRACTICALly-shot TITLE SEQUENCE concludes the awards show opener when The camera takes a turn and travels directly into a series of tunnels.
