Tarik Abdel-Gawad is a designer and filmmaker, currently exploring the worlds of virtual and augmented reality at Google. Prior to Google, Tarik worked on projects spanning projection-mapping, filmmaking, robotics, and interactive installation. In 2013, he Creative Directed the award-winning short film, Box. In 2011, he worked on the robotic cinematography behind Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity.  At the intersection of art and science, Tarik’s interdisciplinary approach to creativity connects the physical with the digital through technology, design, and storytelling.
